  CAT Scan Analysis for Implants

Though we have been using CAT scans to determine the amount of bone available for implant placement for years, recent advances in the computer programs have resulted a level of planning never possible before. With the aid of a radiographic template showing the location of the teeth, it is possible to gauge the amount of bone in relation to the proposed tooth position and essentially do the proposed implant surgery on the CAT Scan.

The first demonstration shows an implant (in red), and the tooth supporting second stages (in yellow)

The second CAT scan demonstrates a sinus graft (the area in blue) establishing enough bone to support an implant.

Following the analysis of the CAT scan, the radiographic template is then converted into a surgical guide to insure the best cosmetic and functional placement of the implants.
